Will iphone 5 surprise us?
After the iPhone 3G and iPhone 4 success, we can wonder what surprises the iphone 5 might have for us. There is an obvious appetite for information about the release and plenty of information online about what users are expecting/hoping from it.

Will iphone 5 come up to our expectations?

As like its predecessors, iPhone 5 won’t be an exception to the rule; it will have to be slimmer, sleeker and faster. So it’s safe to say that we can expect an iphone 5 thinner than the iphone 4. However there is a lot of speculation that we’ll see a “tear-drop” design with a thinner bottom and thicker top – so we’ll wait and see if that’s the case.

You might also remember that Apple had some issues concerning the iPhone 4 and the “Antenna-gate” question. This is why we can be pretty sure that this year Apple will make sure that the iphone 5 won’t cause the same issue.

There is a general consensus that the iphone 5 will have a higher storage capacity also.

The other areas in question:

What about 4G support? - Recently, smart phones supporting 4G network have been making news(e.g. Nexus 4G, Samsung Galaxy S 4G). It's not very likely that Apple would see themselves left behind in the race of 3G-4G spectrum. So we're thinking that it's likely that the iPhone 5 will support 4G.

What about a bigger screen? – it seems that the expectation is that the iphone 5 screen will be bigger than iphone 4 screen. However, it isn’t expected to increase the size of the phone itself, this is because we can expect a “nearly edge-to-edge screen”. Should we expect a scratch proof and shatter proof screen? It’d be very much welcomed by users.

NFC Support the future? – It seems that the iPhone 5 won’t be incorporating a NFC chip and that we will have to wait until the
iphone 6 before NFC will become mainstream.

Higher resolution camera? – It is expected that the iPhone 5 will have an 8MP camera with 1080p video recording too.

As you can see, there are lots of expectations for the new iPhone and one thing that we still don’t know for sure is when we can expect to be able to purchase it… however, before the end of this year is a safe bet.
